COLLECTED INFORMATION
I am finally ready to go talk to my friends about the information I have collected on getting this eye surgery. I have been many months going back and forth, back and forth, should I or should I not, have this surgery done. Some of the information I have on getting this surgery has at least let me know what to expect, both the pros and cons. For me there is the great possibility of me not having to wear glasses. Even though there are risks in having Lasik eye surgery, I think I am finally at a place where I understand a lot of the risks if not all. I have done extensive research and found out what you should do before the surgery, like I should stop wearing my contact lenses before my baseline evaluation, since they change the shape of my cornea and it could take several weeks after I stop wearing them for my cornea to assume its natural shape. If I don’t stop wearing my lenses long enough before surgery, there could be negative consequences. I am figuring that I will make a call and ask how many weeks I should wear my glasses before my initial appointment.
